Abstract

The current doctoral application portal for the Technical University of Munich presents opportunities for enhancement, as its existing framework may inadvertently discourage potential doctoral candidates from pursuing their applications. Candidates must review extensive documentation and manually send emails to professors, which can lead to communication challenges and burden research group members with unnecessary correspondence. The application portal lacks inclusiveness for international applicants, as it has limited multilingual support.

This thesis aims to address these issues by proposing the development of a more streamlined and user-friendly doctoral application portal. It focuses on implementing the job creation and viewing interfaces for both professors and applicants. By enhancing this process, we strive to foster a more supportive environment that encourages a diverse range of applicants to pursue their doctoral studies.
