At the 53rd SEFI Annual Conference in Tampere, Finland, Ramona Beinstingel presented the paper “From Planning to Practice: LEARN-Kit for Flexible STEM Workshop Delivery”.
LEARN-Kit is a modular system designed to make planning and delivering STEM workshops easier and more flexible. It brings together:
- 🎲 Innovative, gender-sensitive activities that combine storytelling, collaboration, and hands-on exploration
- 🗺️ Clear activity summaries and overview tables to help educators quickly find suitable activities
- 📒 Comprehensive educator materials, including slides, background information, and step-by-step guides
Participating in SEFI 2025 and presenting LEARN-Kit was an inspiring experience. The discussions emphasized how important it is to address early gaps in computer science education — especially for girls — and to create engaging, playful opportunities for all children to discover STEM.
A big thank you to everyone who joined the session and contributed to the exchange of ideas! We look forward to exploring future collaborations and continuing to expand the impact of LEARN-Kit.
